| • Have client do sit up to upward position. Ask them to hold position as tester applies pressure to push them downwards. |

| • Trevor was unable to hold position |

| • No amount of pushing could push him down |
Arms: Bicep Curl
Test procedure
| • Have client do biceps curl at their comfortable maximum |

Shoulders: Shoulder Press
Test Procedure:
| • Have client do shoulder press at comfortable maximum |
Result of test:

| • 82 ½ kg for 5 reps (30kg improvement – 58% increase) |
Chest: Bench press
Test Procedure
| • Have client do flat bench press at comfortable maximum |
Result of test:
Result of Activation:
| • 80kg for 4 reps (33% improvement) |
Back: Lat Pull Down
Test procedure:
| • Have client perform exercise at their comfortable maximum |
Result of Test:
Result of Activation:
• Initial: 75kg with 20% less effort
• Final: 90kg for 5 reps (30kg improvement – 50%) |
Legs: Leg Press
Test Procedure
| • Have client do leg press at comfortable maximum |
Result of test:
Result of Activation:
• 220 kg for 8 reps (decided to stop testing at this point although Trevor felt he could do a lot more)
• 64% improvement |
Bridging for ability to stabilise:
Test Procedure
| • Have client lie on floor, rise into bridge position, and raise right leg vertically. Tester then pushes on leg while client tries to hold position |
Result of test:
| • Unable to hold leg or bridging position when asked to hold |
Result of Activation:
| • Able to hold leg with tester pushing with full body weight and maintain bridge position |
Hamstring flexibility
Test Procedure
| • Have client lie flat on back, raise one leg at a time with knee straight to measure flexibility in degrees off floor |
Result of test:
• Right leg 70 degrees
• Left leg 75 degrees |
Result of Activation:
• Right leg 110 degree (40 DEGREE improvement)
• Left leg 120 degrees (45 DEGREE improvement) |
