You will learn how to release the body of its defense patterns which immediately gives massive shifts in strength, power, flexibility and endurance. With the body in balance we also impact on speed, co-ordination and balance. The teaching will take you through a step by step system of how to implement Muscle Activation with your clients, and the results you can expect.
Course content:
- Key concepts of Muscle Activation. Emphasis is placed on looking at new ways to work with clients, understanding the key concepts of:
- When you are defending, you cannot be performing
- What is in the mind is in the body
- What is in the body is in the mind
- Stress response, what it is and its impact on performance.
- The relaxation response.
- Activating the body:
- The diaphragm, psoas major, gluteus maximus, hamstrings, quadriceps, calves, tibialis anterior, lateral sling, posterior sling and pelvic floor for activating.
- The upper body and includes the abdominals, tight thoracic and shoulder release, SCM, jaw, trapezius and levator scapulae, and shoulders rolling inwards.
- Applying techniques to client sessions: We look at all the steps involved in doing a full session of activation.
- Specific exercises and look at appropriate area to activate to allow our clients to perform each exercise at a more effective and efficient level.
